WELCOME TO DECATUR MAHJ!
Mah Jongg is a great way to socialize, relax, and challenge your mind.
The Decatur Mahjong Social Club was founded in April 2025 by Barb Rowland and Whitney Brown, two long-time residents of Decatur. With a handful of people interested in learning the game, the group has grown to nearly 200 members of all ages in less than 6 months.
Connect with members of the 30+ community in Decatur while enjoying a game that blends strategy, skill, and a bit of luck. Whether you’re a seasoned player or just curious about this classic game, players of all skill levels are welcome.

Open Play is offered weekly on:
- Tuesdays at 6:30pm at The Pool Turtle (Avondale Estates)
- Wednesdays at 5:30pm at Bench Warmers (Decatur)
- Fridays at 11:30am at Cafe Lily (Decatur)
- Sundays at 2:00pm at Green Ginger (during the warmer months) and The Pool Turtle (during the winter).
Open Play
Open to all players, unsupervised tables of four players with similar skill levels.
