Who We Are

Whitney Brown (Co-Founder) is the Senior Director of Individual Giving at Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta, a role she’s held for four years now. She also works part time for BE Philanthropy Partners, serving as a communications and research assistant for their team. She has worked in the non-profit sector for the past 18 years, with a background in marketing, communications, and fundraising/development.

Whitney holds a B.A. from Agnes Scott College in Music History & Psychology and a Master of Divinity from Emory University’s Candler School of Theology.

She has a passion for the arts, hiking, baking, and all things true crime. Whitney and her wife, Laura, and their toothless black cat Stevie, live in downtown Decatur!

Barb Rowland has been a licensed Realtor in the Atlanta area for 23 years, and is now semi-retired. Before that, she was a railroad executive in marketing with Norfolk Southern, Conrail, and CSX Railways.

She was also a professional tennis instructor, working for TeamTennis for four years as SE-Director under Billie Jean King. She also did professional sports photography and had photos published in Tennis Magazine and Golf Magazine.

Raised in Miami Shores, Florida, Barb currently lives in Downtown Decatur with her wife, Suzanne, and their cat, Bobo. Her current hobbies include golf, mahjong, animals, photography, and travel. She is a curious learner and problem solver. living life to the fullest and exploring the World!

Vicki Figiel learned mahjong in 2024 and enjoys playing and teaching others how to play the game.

Professionally, Vicki has over forty years of business and academic experience involving teaching, engineering, supervision, budget analysis, project management, and capital forecasting. She is retired from full-time employment with AT&T.

She also teaches at Colorado State Global Campus in the operations, project, and construction management program. She holds a doctorate in business management and a master of science in psychology.

Vicki enjoys studying Italian, watercolor painting, and making pens on a wood lathe.
