Lunch, Socializing, and Mahjong at Cafe Lily Every Friday!
Join us for lunch in the main restaurant at 11:30AM. Afterwards, we will have Open Play in the private dining room from 12:30PM to 3:00PM.
Connect with members of the community in Decatur while enjoying games that blend strategy, skill, and a bit of luck. Mahjong is a great way to socialize, relax, and challenge your mind. No lessons or Supervised Beginner Play at this event — just Open Play with players of similar skill levels and a lot of fun!
This weekly event is open to beginners and all levels of play. Three tables will be set up for Intermediate/Advanced players, along with two tables for beginners — adjustments will be made, depending on who shows up.
Interested first-timer, but don’t know how to play? Feel free to observe and learn about our Quarterly Lessons Series.
We’re grateful to Cafe Lily for generously sponsoring our group by providing a private room at no cost. To show our support, we ask that you join us for lunch before the games or make at least a $5 beverage/snack purchase while you play. You can also help by spreading the word about their wonderful food and service—and if you enjoyed your visit, consider leaving them a Google review. Please remember: outside food and drinks aren’t allowed, and don’t forget to tip your servers generously.
Cafe Lily’s menu offers a tempting variety of appetizers, small plates, and entrees — complemented by wine, beer, cocktails, non-alcoholic beverages, and decadent desserts.

Parking is free at 205 Swanton Way. Disregard the NO PARKING sign. A hotel will be built at some point, but for now, the lot is not in use.
What to Bring
Bring your own tiles, mat(s), and your 2026 Official Mah Jongg Card. Set up your tiles at the level of play with which you are comfortable.
Official Mahjong Cards
If you do not yet have a 2026 Official Mah Jongg Card, you can purchase one from the National Mah Jongg League. Large Type cards (recommended) are $15 each, regular cards are $14. Beware of bootleg cards available a Amazon or Walmart — they are not approved by (and do not support) the League. Wondering about the importance of having a 2026 Official Mah Jongg Card?
