Beginner American Mahjong – 3 Lesson Series

Join Laura Downs and Whitney Brown for three weeks in January to learn the basics of American Mahjong.

Registration in advance is required. Limited to 16 students, no new students after the first class. To reserve your spot, RSVP here and send your $150 class payment to Whitney Brown using the details below. You are not considered registered until payment is received.

Lessons will take place on Sundays:
January 4
January 11
January 25

Arrive as early as 11:00am to enjoy brunch at Cafe Lily (not included) in the main dining room, and lessons will run from 1:00 – 3:00pm, on the dates noted above in their private room.

Please note: street parking is FREE all day Sunday!

RSVP here and send your $150 for the lessons. Your payment includes a digital copy of the book “Learn American Mahjong,” the 2025 National Mah Jongg League Playing Card (2026 is released in late March), and your $25 membership dues for 2026.
